Site popping up in funny places - robert, 11/02/2005, 02:53
While idly flicking through the access log I noticed a referrer from a site displaying this usenet topic. The URL which links back to here (using "?q=node/feed") is unfortunately out of date - I don't use b2evolution any more. My original blog posting is in the blog archive. It seems the muppet goes around newsgroups being a nuisance quite regularly then. It seems likely they got here via google due to the fact they linked to the ?q=node/feed). I found it funny that my blog post regarding an idiot on usenet has found its way back onto usenet on a completely different group. On the subject of URLs, it also facinates me that you can paste an amusing link on IRC in one channel and have it spider its way through channel after channel with people passing it on, for it then to appear in another channel you're in! Today in work similar happened with e-mail, I was receiving the same forwarded e-mails from collegues multiple times due to them not realising it had got to me, or indeed, gone through me before...The sky - robert, 08/02/2005, 19:02
Took some random pretty pics out my window at various times in the last couple of days. Crazy skies. Talking of sky, I'm trying to obtain an old dish with a Universal LNB off someone (I think I may have found one, a mate's neighbour has a 60cm pointing at 19.2E they don't use, and it's in good nick - I'm hoping they'll want to part with it, if not I'll try to find someone who wants rid of an old dish). Another mate has a Sky box which he has no use for, so getting them would be cool. My initial plan (which hopefully should work with a large dish rather than a minidish) is to just have the dish inside my window when I want to use it, else it'll have to be balanced outside somehow I guess... When I'm not using the dish for getting standard free to air (better than freeview anyway) off 28.2E or random European channels of 19.2E I could use the dish for 802.11b if I place a cantenna in place of the LNB. Might be better getting a 2nd (minidish perhaps) for this purpose though. Job's going fine so far, cycling down there sucks though...powered by coranto
