I'm writing this from a First Scotrail train, just arriving at Aviemore station. I have no way to post this now though, thanks to o2 deciding to restrict their WAP service to WAP pages only, no on the move "real" Internet any more :(.I'm on my way to Edinburgh for Hogmanay - street party etc, will have to post this when I get there. Decided to take the train this time as buses generally suck, and I like trains. I wish the railway lines up here weren't so crappy, the trains rarely go past like 80Mph max, even the GNERs. South of Edinburgh/Glasgow they'll go 120 or so, the lines up here just aren't up to those sorts of speeds, PITA. The weather leaving Inverness was fantastic, there's a dodgy cloud above at the moment now though. I hope it's alright in Edinburgh, don't want the party cancelled like last year. Pics out window.
My legs are being slowly cooked by a floor heater. I still prefer this old class though. The newer trains are nice but badly thought out, most of the space is taken up by the door area in the middle, a huge quarter circle loo fills one end of the carriage too, there's little remaining room for seats! Ah well, back to sitting listening to music taking random photos, and playing with GPS...
