We arrived at the quarry, the start and control point for the event and after making our presence known proceeded to set up our own control. Once the Range Rover was parked in a suitable position, the masts, aerials and feeder coax were carted up the hill and the two masts put up each with a collinear antenna sat on top. The two cables were thrown down to the quarry. We discovered that two crucial connectors were rather bent and squashed. One wasn't in too bad a shape but the other was flat one side and a bit knackered. I managed to get it in a usable state but in the process split the outside. It worked though which was the main thing. While we were setting up control, the rest of the group were getting themselves positioned at various points around the course.
