Another morning sitting in work absolutely knackered. Last night a gathering at Rileys happened. I was extremely tired (but not as much as I am right now - more on why I was tired yesterday later) but decided to go out for the craic anyway. The usual Rileys banter happened with about 12 of us in total. After this, we went to Tesco - the place where if there's any chance of a road trip happening, it'll start. There was a problem; 9 people and 1 driver wanting to go home (by now there were 2 cars). 7 people wanted to stay out. It eventually boiled down to 6 people to be picked to go into Ricky's car, so what followed was a rather awkward selection process (roll on me getting a car I say) - we were given numbers and someone called 4 out randomly. That out the way, we set off. We pulled on to the A9 (south) at Raigmore Interchange and for once, just kept on going. Our destination: The Cairngorms. It was quite a change from the twisty Loch Ness side roads we usually end up on. We travelled down towards Aviemore, with the usual in car chat and music. Just before the Carrbridge turn off, we got stuck behind a festa which was in turn stuck behind a lorry. We both pulled off (bar the lorry!) at Carrbridge and continued to Aviemore the back way.
