ZETA Live CD - robert, 21/10/2005, 20:19

Click for album This is proof that, in an IRC channel race, I managed to get the ZETA Live CD downloaded and running before anyone else! I had to physically burn it to CD too, not run it in Virtual PC!
So there! *Blows raspberries at #m33p*

I've yet to actually play with it but it looks really cool. It's derived from BeOS, an Operating System which I really miss. I first used BeOS back in 2000 and was very impressed with it...

Long time no blog - robert, 20/10/2005, 16:23

Click for albumMy god what a long time it has been since I've updated this. Yes, I'm still alive! A lot has been going on since the last update. I've got all day (between calls) so may as well just start with the most recent and work back (more or less).

The most recent major thing that has happened is that I've unfortunately turned 20. I'm no longer a teenager! It's kind of weird but I feel just the same. I wasn't best pleased about it as it just meant I was getting older and not acheiving much. But as my friend Peter put it; "bah, getting older is analogue". Anyway, last friday night I went to a mad party in St Andrews where my twin sister is at uni. I managed to swap shift with someone so started work at the awful hour of 07:00. I finished at 15:30 and went home to gather some stuff together. I then took the 16:55 train destined to Glasgow. I changed at Perth and took another Scotrail train to Ladybank. I then had to wait for about fifteen minutes at Ladybank station. During my wait I experienced some very strange sounds coming from the other side of the track. It was just the local neds deliberately making spooky sounds, but it was quite spooky! A Virgin Voyager eventually turned up which was a bit messy inside - it was heading to Dundee and was obviously nearing the end of a long journey. I ...
