Changes - robert, 18/05/2005, 23:24

Work is getting interesting. The company we support are rolling out new standard-build PCs throughout all the hubs over the next while. I'm part of the team who will initially support them. Today we found out that the rollout will be put off for two weeks. This is fantastic for us as we're having to take the shit initially, learn what works and what doesn't, iron out all the bugs, wade through the masses of documentation we have/are creating and put it all together for training the rest of the desk! Once Peter had finished helping his Dad with some garden stuff, we headed to Tesco, picked up some food and a BBQ, and made our way to Dores. The beach and the Dores Inn (which backs onto the beach) were fairly busy when we got there, but we managed to find a quiet spot a good way along and settled down there. The rest of the afternoon was spent eating a mixture of lorne sausage, burgers and these strange flavoured rib things, and generally mucking about. Cooking was interesting due to the fact the only utensil I had to use was a table knife! I ended up doing all the cooking, so if we all get poisoning, I'll be blamed... eek! We ended up throwing half the beach into Loch Ness with skimming and distance contests while my new iriver provided some background music. ...
