Step 1
Turn the A1200 upside down on a suitable surface.
Locate the following screws:
Unscrew all these screws noting that there are 3 different sizes used and noting which go where.
Step 2
Turn the A1200 back over.
Now lift up the top cover from the front, it should hinge up.
Take care not to disconnect the LED module cable.
Step 3
Now, flip the top cover over...
...and at the same time lift the keyboard carefully up and flip it over onto the top cover taking care not to disconnect the ribbon cable.
You've now opened your A1200!
...Doesn't really involve much does it?
To put it back together, simply reverse the steps. When putting the top cover back on you should slot the front section in and firmly press down on the back part till it snaps into place.
